About Janet
I have loved living and playing in southwest Charlotte since relocating here in 1997. I moved here to continue my career as a corporate dress buyer at The Cato Corporation. After many years in the retail world, I joined First Properties in 2006. My first assignment was to help Kent Van Slambrook plan and open the Property Management Division. It was a great way for me to use my financial and customer service skills; I had a great time too! I was also very involved with helping the Van Slambrook Team’s listing and closing managers. I obtained my North Carolina and South Carolina real estate licenses to have a greater understanding of how to service our property owners and tenants. During the winter of 2009 I decided to begin a new career, something I had always dreamed of doing, helping folks buy and sell real estate. I’m known for my attention to the “little things” and desire to always follow through. My life long knowledge of how homes should be constructed, maintained and repaired will be valuable to you when you sell or buy your home or investment property!
Special Skills / Interests
My husband, Bob and I spend our spare time enjoying anything to do with cars or racing, home improvement projects and college basketball. We have two children, Wendy and Robert and two granddaughters, Natalie and Kelsi. We just rescued the newest member of our family, a sweet little hound dog named Schuyler. I was raised in a family where you had to learn to change a tire by the time you were twelve, so I know how to do lots of things the other kids never learned! Thanks to my parents, one of my greatest personal accomplishments is traveling to all fifty of our great United States.
